Job Description

We offer a range of branded payment product platforms, which our financial institution clients use to develop and offer credit, charge, deferred debit, prepaid and cash access programs to cardholders. Visa's card platforms provide consumers, businesses, merchants and government entities with a secure, convenient and reliable way to pay and be paid in 200 countries and territories.

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Development Specialist to join our team. The primary objective of this role is to enhance our security remediation process, shift security to the left in the development cycle, and improve our overall security posture. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating scalable and automated solutions for vulnerability management and remediation across various security findings, including Qualys, TSR, and container vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Automation Development:

  • Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline the security remediation process.
  • Design and build scalable automation frameworks using Java, Python, and other relevant frontend frameworks.
  • Create automated workflows for vulnerability detection, assessment, and remediation.
  • Collaborate with development teams to embed security practices and tools into CI/CD pipelines.

Vulnerability Management:

  • Ensure comprehensive coverage for all types of vulnerabilities, including container security and TSR findings.

Container Security:

  • Build and maintain automated solutions for container vulnerability scanning and remediation.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to ensure cohesive and effective security practices.
  • Communicate security risks and remediation plans to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on security posture and remediation progress.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
• Relevant working experience of up to 2 years in the industry
• Proven experience in software development, particularly in full stack projects, demonstrating adherence to standard development best practices
• Strong understanding and practical experience with data structures and algorithms, with a passion for tackling complex problems
• Proficiency in Java and Python programming.
• Strong knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Experience with SQL, RDBMS and In-Memory Databases like Redis.
• Familiarity with Kafka, SpringBoot, and Spring Framework.
• Strong knowledge of API development.
• Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git.
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and Shell Scripting.
• Awareness of and experience with software design patterns.
• Experience working within an Agile framework.
• Familiarity with AI concepts and tools, including GitHub Copilot for code development
