- Support, grow, and lead a high performing team responsible for developing and implementing cryptographic solutions that protect the data of 3+ billion users
- Design and build secure systems that utilize advanced cryptographic techniques, such as encryption, digital signatures, and key management, to safeguard user data across Meta's infrastructure and family of products
- Manage the best software engineers in the world, including helping to hire and grow the team
- Support performance management process to recognize high performance and support those who are struggling
- Advocate for the team's technical interests and needs
- Develop durable relationships and work cross-functionally with many partners across organizations and functions, and as a result, increase the impact of the team's work
- 8+ years, or PhD + 4 years, of software engineering work experience, including hands on technical management
- 2+ years of experience building, leading, and managing software engineering teams within an engineering organization
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience working with many cross functional partners and managing programs that require management team support and buy-in
- Experience providing technical leadership and guidance, and thinking strategically and analytically to solve problems
- Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, and leading technical organizations, including performance management
- Experience working across software engineering and security operations to drive security measures
- Experience working with any of the following areas: secrets, key management, public-key infrastructure, cryptography, credentials, and access management
