Software Engineer II, Google Kubernetes Engine Upgrades Experience


Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor鈥檚 degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with Kubernetes or technical infrastructure/platform engineering.
  • Experience programming in Go and Java.

In this role, you will be part of an engineering team building new capabilities for Google Kubernetes Engine. You will develop an Upgrades Experience. You will be working with other engineers and collaborating with cross-functional partners. You will share ownership of the whole development life-cycle including designing, coding, monitoring, and maintaining software.

Responsibilities
  • Code and build back-end services to Google Kubernetes Engine (e.g., Go, Java, other similar technologies).
  • Work with other engineers within the team and collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., User Experience, Program Management).
  • Collaborate on system design, and deliver high-quality code to production.
  • Take advantage of tooling and have ownership over the development life-cycle including deployment, monitoring and alerting, and maintenance.
