Software Engineer - Games - Horizon Worlds

Horizon Worlds is a cornerstone of Meta’s core mission to build the Metaverse. Our team has an exciting opportunity to drive development of high quality gameplay and engine systems for Horizon Worlds and future gaming projects at Meta. Opening Horizon Worlds out to millions of users yet to own VR headsets by making content that works across VR and mobile. We are looking for a Software Engineer to make engaging and delightful experiences possible within Horizon Worlds.Software Engineer - Games - Horizon Worlds Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members to ensure successful project delivery.
• Working with C#, Unity, C++, JavaScript, React and a range of other technologies to build systems and tools for Horizon Worlds.
• Design of User-Generated Content features, including scripting interfaces and tools development.
• Working closely with other disciplines to iterate on systems and respond to telemetry data and user feedback.
• Focusing on improving user experience within a live games environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of games (or related industry) experience
• Experience with Unity, Unreal or proprietary game engine
• Experience in engine development
• Proven communication skills and capacity to lead areas of development within a wider project

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UI development
• JavaScript + React experience
• Proven experience to learn new tools, languages and frameworks
