Software Engineer
As a Senior MuleSoft Integration Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions connecting Ford's diverse enterprise systems using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. You will focus on translating business requirements into robust, scalable, and efficient integration solutions, ensuring seamless data flow between key applications like Salesforce, ERPs, databases, and third-party services. Leveraging your significant MuleSoft experience, you will tackle complex integration challenges, contribute to technical designs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure solutions align with established best practices and architectural guidelines, ultimately supporting data-driven decisions and exceptional customer experiences.
- Analyse & Design Integrations: Analyse business and technical requirements to design effective MuleSoft integration solutions, applying API-led connectivity principles and established integration patterns. Create detailed technical design documents.
- Develop & Implement Solutions: Develop, test, and deploy MuleSoft APIs and integration applications using Anypoint Studio, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards.
- MuleSoft Expertise: Utilize deep knowledge of the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (including Anypoint Studio, API Manager, APIGEE) to build and maintain integration flows.
- Apply Standards & Best Practices: Adhere to and apply established MuleSoft development standards, naming conventions, security practices, and reusable integration patterns. May contribute suggestions for improvements.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with business analysts, application owners, Salesforce teams, architects, and vendors to understand requirements, clarify technical details, and ensure successful integration delivery.
- Complex Troubleshooting: Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex integration issues. Implement effective solutions and performance optimizations for MuleSoft applications and APIs.
- API Implementation & Governance: Implement APIs according to Ford's defined API strategy and governance policies, ensuring they are well-documented, secure, and discoverable.
- Testing & Validation: Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and support systems integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure integrations meet requirements and function correctly.
- Documentation: Create and maintain thorough technical documentation, including design specifications, data mappings, API documentation, test plans, and deployment procedures.
- CI/CD Practices: Utilise and contribute to the improvement of CI/CD pipelines and practices for MuleSoft development and deployment.
- Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest MuleSoft features, integration trends, and emerging technologies to effectively apply them in your work.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Master's degree work in a related field is desirable.
- MuleSoft certification or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on enterprise integration.
- Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience specifically analysing, designing, developing, testing, and deploying integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Proven experience handling complex integration projects and troubleshooting challenging technical issues.
- Experience integrating various enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, Databases, SaaS applications). Experience specifically integrating with Salesforce (Data Cloud, Automotive Cloud, Service Cloud) is a strong plus.
- Experience in call centre or customer service technology environments is valuable context.
