Medical Devices, System Verification Engineer
We're seeking a Product Verification and Validation Engineer to join our medical devices compliance team, focusing on wearables and Software as a Medical Device (SaMD). This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing verification plans to ensure our products meet regulatory requirements and are safe and effective for users.
You will work on cutting-edge wearable technologies, including augmented reality glasses, wrist wearables, and other innovative devices. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products, particularly in areas such as:
* Sensor validation: Working with advanced sensors, such as electrodermal activity (EDA) sensors, heart rate variability (HRV) sensors, and other physiological sensors.
* Algorithm validation: Verifying the accuracy and effectiveness of algorithms used in our wearables, such as those for stress detection, sleep tracking, and physical activity monitoring.
* Interoperability testing: Ensuring seamless integration with other Meta products and services, such as Meta AI and other wearable devices.Medical Devices, System Verification Engineer Responsibilities

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. - Design and implement test strategies and methodologies for various system components and functionalities across the Software, Hardware, and Systems levels
- Analyze system requirements and translate them into test protocols
- Perform manual testing and analysis to identify and document potential issues and defects
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and languages
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all verification activities, including test plans, reports, and defect tracking
- Contribute to engineering discussions regarding design for testability, maintainability, and quality
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
- 3+ years of experience in medical device system engineering or a related role
- Experience in mechanical or electromechanical or systems design
- Proficiency in system-level design, requirements management, and architectural development
- Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills in particular with interpretation complex data sets
- Experience with Six Sigma tools (e.g. MSA, Gage R&R, ANOVA, DOE etc)
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar qualification
- Proven track record of presenting and authoring documents, communications, and presentations to technical and cross functional stakeholders
