Mechanical Engineer - Research
At Meta Reality Labs Research, our goal is to explore, innovate and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team, whose mission is to design, build, and test future consumer AR experiences. As part of our team, you will develop state of the art mechanical structures, mechanisms, and solutions for next generation research devices. You will become part of a team chartered with the exploration of new concepts through analytical modeling and fast iterative prototyping. A wide range of approaches will be explored combining electrical, mechanical, firmware, and software techniques. We want people who work well in teams, can brainstorm big ideas, work in new technology areas, drive a concept into a prototype, and can envision how a prototype could transition into a high-volume consumer product. The individual should demonstrate the experience to continuously develop personal knowledge and expertise in new technology for AR display, sensing systems, process design, manufacturing, and scalability.Mechanical Engineer - Research Responsibilities
