Display Engineer (Panel design and Panel process)
At Meta VR Hardware, we are developing the future of Portal, virtual reality (VR) products. As a Display Engineer, you will be a member of our Display HW organization, taking a lead in display panel design to set the technical goals, be the point of contact and interface to the product development team and vendor suppliers, lead the development of leading-edge technologies and designs, and work with the current and evolving ecosystem to provide differentiating capabilities to our HW platforms. - Manage the execution of display front-end process support including validation and manufacturing process setup and support activities in Asia
- Work with cross-functional team and vendor in display panel manufacturing process optimization
- Deliver and achieve target milestones to meet fast paced product development schedule
- Identify risks, track and resolve issues through various phases of production, and perform failure-mode and root-cause analysis.
- Communicate display work status regularly with clear articulation of engineering options along the way
- Bachelor or Master鈥檚 degree with 7+ years of experience in Panel design, Physics, Optical, or related field.
- Domain expertise and experience in at least one of the following ares: 1) Display front end processing, OLED and LCD Panel design, LC panel fabrication process, and OLED process. 2) Display optical engineering and validation. 3) Display failure mode effect analysis (DFMEA)
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Willingness and ability to travel 30% time internationally
- Experience in working directly with mainstream AMLCD or AMOLED vendors
- Ability to perform and design DOE, data analysis, yield improvement, root cause investigation, FACA, quality control
- Knowledge of display metrology
- Good project and team management experience
- Experience in working with display vendors
- Track-record of ownership in designing and delivering consumer products
